Massage Therapist / Hairdresser
Tokyo Headspa
We have a unique position available for someone to work in our authentic Japanese Headspa salon. All that is required is a background in massage or some in salon hair washing and blow-dry experience. We provide in depth paid training to all new hires.
**Please note: this is a physically demanding role involving 6-8 hour shifts.
- $28 – $35 per hour (permanent rate of pay, including paid training) negotiated based on skills & experience.
- Full time & Part time permanent roles available (morning, afternoon & evening shifts available) with flexibility in days to suit your lifestyle.
- A truly unique role where you will be trained in the art of Japanese Headspa while working in a newly refurbished salon, in a calm and tranquil space.
- QLD Team Leader position also available for a highly confident and experienced Headspa Therapist (higher rate of pay negotiable based on skills & experience).

ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Headspa therapist, you will play a key role within Tokyo Headspa to provide treatment sessions and consultation to our customers. This is a unique opportunity to perform relaxation massage, hair wash and hair-dry services to our guests.
Pay Rate:
- $28 – $35 per hour (permanent rate of pay, including paid training) negotiated based on skills & experience.
- Plus, earn extra with tips and rewards for outstanding performance.
Hours: Full time & Part time permanent roles available (morning, afternoon & evening shifts available) with flexibility in days to suit your lifestyle.
Location: Either West End or Teneriffe QLD. Plenty of street parking available + both locations are easily accessible by public transport.
Please note, we also have a position available for a confident and experienced Headspa Therapist to join our team as our QLD Team Leader:
You will need to be a confident and experienced Headspa Therapist who would like to take the next step in your career. Shampoo, massage experience and excellent communication skills in English are essential. The team leader position includes building & training a therapist team, ensuring that quality service is delivered to customers, our daily operation ad hoc tasks and performing treatment sessions for our customers. Higher pay rates apply for this position (negotiable based on skills and experience).
ESSSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS for the Headspa Therapist role:
- In salon/clinic experience in either hair washing or massage is essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to pay attention to guest’s needs.
- Well-presented and well spoken.
- A strong interest in scalp and hair health, stress management and relaxation.
- Strong communication skills in English and with an interest to learn Japanese culture.
