M Hair & Co – Senior Hairdressers & Salon Managers
- $35 – $45 per hour (permanent rate of pay) for a highly experienced & skilled Senior Hairdresser.

- Outstanding commission structure: our top earner earned an extra $21,000 in commissions last year!

We’re recruiting for Senior Hairdressers, Managers as well as 2nd & 3rd Year Apprentice Hairdressers to work at either our Mackay or Gladstone salons.
ABOUT US
We’re big, fun and well-established salons, and provide all hair services including colours, cuts, styling, hair extensions and the brand-new Floractive’s nanoplasty straightening. We are a colour focussed salon and especially love blondes and creative colour work. We’re a big team of 25 Hairdressers across our 2 salons and we are one big hair family!
We are busy salons and work together as a team. We have a strict “no bullying” policy to ensure that every team member always feels safe, included and welcome. Our owner, Michelle has been a Hairdresser for over 30 years and is a truly supportive and nurturing boss.
ABOUT THE ROLE/S
Whether you’re a highly experienced and confident Senior Hairdresser, are more newly qualified, returning to the industry after a break or are a 2nd or 3rd Year Apprentice: the main attributes we’re looking for are a passion for the industry, for learning and growing, and a friendly nature who loves to work in a team.
We also have positions at both of our Salons for those wanting to step into a Management or Educator role (while also working on the floor).
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Hours: Full time & Part time hours available. Flexibility in days & times; let’s discuss what works for you. We’re open to no late nights, earlier starts/later finishes – we have big teams so can accommodate this for the right person.
Locations: Choose from Mackay or Gladstone QLD. Both located in shopping centres, so plenty of all-day free parking and public transport.
Pay Rate:
- $35 – $45 per hour (permanent rate of pay) for highly experienced & skilled Senior Hairdressers PLUS Super PLUS commissions.
- Competitive wages can be negotiated for more newly qualified Hairdressers, those that need more skills training, as well as Apprentices.
