Spa Therapist
Lizard Island Resort
Full time.
- Join our luxury 5-star resort. We are the first Relais & Chateaux property in Australia.
- Great rate of pay: Level 6, $36.89 per hour weekdays, $46.63 per hour Saturdays and $66.40 per hour Sunday.
- On-site accommodation, utilities and meals are deducted from pay (for just $245 per week!).
- Flight paid from Cairns, and flight vouchers every 2 months to Cairns. 1st voucher after 3 months.
- You will be joining our small, friendly community, with only around 100 staff living on the Island!
- Trade spa treatments with your fellow co-workers on time off.
- Casual position with fluctuating hours. Minimum of 15 hours per week, up to 38 hours per week in peak times (normally school holidays), and on average 25 – 30 hours per week.

The Opportunity
Delaware North Australia is hiring a Spa Therapist to join our team at Lizard Island Resort. As a Spa Therapist, you will be performing professional spa and beauty treatments in this beautiful location, featuring 2 spacious treatment rooms and 1 couple suite, setting up the guest experience for success. If you are well-presented and service-driven, join our collaborative team and provide guests with a truly relaxing experience alongside skilled and passionate team members working together in an office like no other.
Responsibilities
- Confidently provide 5-star guest experiences, performing treatments including facials, full body massage, and body treatments, exclusively using our Sodashi products and treatments.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products and treatments available, making recommendations to guests to meet their needs.
- Knowledgeable on up selling our products
What will you bring?
- Minimum certificate IV in Beauty Therapy or Massage, as well as recent experience (minimum 2 years in spa) and confidence in relaxation massage, facials and body treatments.
- Experience in a 5-star spa setting is highly regarded.
- Good communication and customer service skills.

The resort is the only resort on the island, so this is a truly remarkable opportunity to work in a beautiful, tranquil and relaxed environment. There are no shops, although we do have our own basic pharmacy, staff shop (toiletries, alcohol and snacks), as well as our own staff bar. You are able to order groceries through Coles or Woolworths online for next day delivery. All meals and accommodation (including utilities but excluding wifi) is included in your package with us and deducted from your salary at a cost of just $245 per week).
