SALON MANAGER / RECEPTIONIST

Join our growing, fast-paced and friendly salon team at Hair Art Café

We are seeking an organised, confident and customer-focused Salon Manager / Receptionist to lead our front-of-house and play a vital role in the smooth day-to-day running of our salon.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a busy environment, enjoys working with people and takes pride in delivering exceptional client experiences.

To be successful for this role, you will need to be a fully qualified Hairdresser with exceptional leadership and management skills, plus great customer service skills. Alternatively, you have previous experience as a Salon Manager/Receptionist. This is a dual role so you will be need to available to step “on the floor” as required.

📍 Location: Hair Art Café – Shop 2, 20 Settlers Avenue, Baldivis WA 6171 (Stocklands Shopping Centre).

📅 Position: Permanent Part-Time / Full-Time.

About the Role

In this dual position, you will be the welcoming face of the salon while also supporting operations and the wider team. You’ll ensure every client feels valued, appointments run seamlessly and the salon operates efficiently.

Rate of pay: $40 per hour plus super and bonuses and commissions.

Hours: Full time or Part time – minimum 30 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greeting clients with warmth, professionalism and confidence.
  • Managing bookings, phone enquiries and walk-ins.
  • Handling payments and driving retail sales.
  • Overseeing daily front-of-house and salon operations.
  • Supporting stylists and ensuring smooth client flow.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised reception and waiting area.
  • Assisting with social media, promotions and client communication.
  • Completing basic administrative tasks, including inventory checks and staff coordination.

  • Delivers outstanding customer service.
  • Is organised, reliable and calm under pressure.
  • Has a positive, professional attitude and loves working with people.
  • Can confidently multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Has previous salon or reception experience (preferred, but not essential).
