Senior Hairdresser
Full-Time Opportunity (Part-Time Start Available)

Shampoo Avenue is seeking a highly skilled, passionate, and motivated Senior Hairdresser to join our warm, creative, and supportive coastal salon team.
Located in beautiful San Remo, Victoria — just 2 hours south of Melbourne, our salon offers a relaxed coastal lifestyle with a strong, loyal client base and a genuinely welcoming team culture.

We are flexible with experience levels and open to Qualified Stylists at any stage of their career who are eager to learn, grow, and develop their skills within a supportive environment.
We are ideally seeking someone available Full-time from 1st June 2026, with the option to commence Part-time from mid-May 2026 for induction, training, and a smooth transition into the team.
About the Role
As a Senior Hairdresser at Shampoo Avenue, you will bring your creativity, technical skill, and client care to deliver exceptional results and memorable salon experiences.
You will work within a supportive, professional team that values collaboration, growth, and consistency in delivering high-quality service.
Pay Structure & Earning Potential
We offer a transparent and rewarding structure designed to support both stability and high earning potential:
- Experienced stylists: $32 – $39 per hour + commission.
- Commission structure allowing earnings of up to approximately $60 per hour (based on performance and targets achieved).
- Newly qualified Stylists: approximately $29 per hour Tuesday–Friday / $38 per hour Saturdays (award-based).
- Higher rates available for highly experienced Stylists — negotiable based on skill and experience.
- Structured 12-week performance reviews with clear opportunities for pay increases and progression.
About You
We are looking for a confident, Qualified Hairdresser who is passionate about both technical excellence and building strong client relationships.
You will ideally bring:
- Strong consultation skills (training and support provided to further develop this area).
- A natural ability to build genuine client rapport and deliver beautiful, consistent results.
- A warm, friendly, professional, and positive personality.
- Pride in maintaining a clean, organised, and beautifully presented salon environment.
- A team-focused attitude with a willingness to learn, grow, and contribute to a supportive culture.
